Florida Kidney Physicians is seeking an experienced and compassionateRegistered Nurse (RN) to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Brandon, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys a fast-paced procedural environment and wants to provide high-quality care in a specialized outpatient setting.
Our ASC focuses onvascular access procedures for patients with kidney disease , providing coordinated, patient-centered care from pre-operative preparation through recovery and discharge.
Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients before, during, and after outpatient surgical procedures.
Complete pre-operative assessments, medication reconciliation, and patient preparation.
Monitor patients throughout procedures and recovery, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Assist physicians and the surgical team during vascular access procedures.
Monitor vital signs, sedation, pain, and recovery status as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
Provide post-operative education and discharge instructions to patients and families.
Ensure appropriate infection prevention, medication safety, and patient identification practices are followed.
Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the care team.
Maintain readiness of patient care areas, equipment, and supplies.
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Support a positive patient experience while maintaining efficiency in a high-volume outpatient environment.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in an ASC, operating room, PACU, procedural, critical care, emergency, or other acute-care environment.
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, procedure-driven environment.
Excellent communication and patient‑care skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
Vascular access, nephrology, dialysis, or procedural nursing experience is a plus.
