Job summary

The University of Vermont Health is looking for an Infusion Nurse in Ambulatory Oncology to provide essential chemotherapy and biologic therapies to adult patients with complex illnesses. This role involves not only the insertion of intravenous catheters but also the administration of treatments and comprehensive assessments.

Preferred qualifications include more than a year of experience in hematology oncology nursing and proficiency in peripheral intravenous placement. The position also entails working with clinical trial participants and requires current RN licensure in Vermont.

Qualifications

• Greater than one year of experience preferred.
• Chemotherapy certification required; ONC certification preferred.
• Experience with care and maintenance of PICCs and central lines.

Responsibilities

• Provide chemotherapy and biologic therapies to adult patients.
• Insert peripheral intravenous catheters and establish access via implanted devices.
• Support infusion patients participating in clinical trials.
