Job summary

Kindred Hospital Denver and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) is an all-private room 68-bed hospital with a 13-bed ARU designed for patients needing extended recovery. The RN position provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care, coordination with physicians, and active discharge planning in a high-acuity acute rehab environment.

Within this role you will communicate changes in patient condition, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families on care plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.
• Current state RN licensure required.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Document admissions, assessments, care plans and progress notes in the medical record.
• Participate in discharge planning and collaborate with physicians, supervisors and the care team.
• Administer medications safely following the five rights and document accurately.
