Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, and care coordination across units.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while supporting patient and family education throughout their hospital stay. Qualifications include a BSN in progress or equivalent, NJ RN licensure, and required certifications (BLS, PALS, ACLS, IV).

Qualifications

• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Six months of relevant nursing experience or Nurse Residency participation.
• Ability to learn quickly, accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, patient focus.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Collect data, perform age and disease-specific assessments and document findings.
• Coordinate care among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• Discharge planning and patient/family education to ensure safe transitions.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
