Job summary

The Valley Health System in Summerlin Hospital, Las Vegas, NV is seeking a registered nurse to provide safe, competent nursing care and professional leadership for the healthcare team. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, adherence to facility policies, and supervision of the nursing staff.

Ideal candidates hold an Nevada RN license with BLS and ACLS/PALS/NRP as required, and BSN is preferred. Acute care experience is required or completion of a specialty course within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
