Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a registered nurse to plan, deliver, and evaluate nursing care in a dynamic hospital environment. You will document patient progress, coordinate care with the health care team, and uphold MetroHealth’s standards of service.

Required are Ohio RN licensure and BLS; ACLS, PALS, PEARS are preferred or obtainable within the defined period. The role supports patient-centered care across units in a safety-focused system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Basic Life Support for healthcare providers (AHA BLS) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, medical sciences, and asepsis principles.
• Ability to supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plans for, delivers, documents and evaluates nursing care of patients in an assigned area.
• Directs activities of assigned nursing personnel to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient condition, treatment and response.
• Upholds the mission, vision, and values of MetroHealth System.
