CHRISTUS Health in Lake Charles, LA seeks an experienced nurse to provide independent, comprehensive care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role emphasizes patient assessment, planning and evaluation, with delegation of tasks to team members as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (preferred), has 1 year of relevant nursing experience, and possesses current ACLS and PALS certifications. RN licensure in Louisiana or a compact state is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current PALS certification required
• RN License in state of employment or compact

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication and care given.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and/or caregivers.
• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
