Job summary

The Valley Health System, encompassing Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, seeks a qualified Registered Nurse to provide safe, competent nursing care and professional leadership to the healthcare team within a busy hospital setting.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Nevada RN license, BLS, and department-specific ACLS/PALS/NRP as required. BSN preferred; acute care experience preferred. Pre-employment assessments may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification (adult) or PALS/NRP as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees under supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
