Job summary

Capital Health Screening Centre in Illinois seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver quality patient care within a multidisciplinary team. The role involves the full nursing process, patient safety, pain management, discharge planning, and coordination with other departments to ensure optimal outcomes.

The position requires an Associate's degree in Nursing, NJ RN license, BLS, and multiple certifications with potential orientation-based requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• RN license (NJ) and BLS required.
• TNCC within 1 year of hire and 8 hours of Trauma CNE if ICU/Surgical units.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification or obtain by orientation; 8 hours Stroke CNE if assigned to critical care.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire if assigned to critical care/ER etc.
• NRP within 6 months if in maternity/ER units.
• PALS within 6 months if in pediatric areas; ENPC accepted in lieu of PALs for Adult ER.
• Usual work day is 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality patient care through nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Ensures patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Supports pain management and discharge planning for medications and comfort measures.
• Performs handoffs and communicates effectively with health care team.
• Plans staffing and participates in committees and performance improvement activities.
• Attends educational sessions to improve unit operations and patient care.
