Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care on the Medical/Surgical Unit. You will plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, and lead patient/family teaching within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities include rapid assessment, timely communication with physicians about changes in condition and test results, and maintaining high standards of care. BLS/ACLS certified candidates encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate on hire and maintain.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in clinical condition and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment response.
