Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe patient care in the NICU and acute care units. You will apply the nursing process from assessment through discharge, with emphasis on neonatal care and family teaching.

The role requires current RN license, BLS and NRP certifications, and at least one year of acute care experience; BSN preferred. Excellent teamwork and quick decision-making are essential.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• One year experience in an acute care setting with experience in nursery or NICU environment preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors; NICU direct patient care within the scope of practice with assistance to neonates.
