Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the NICU, following the nursing process from assessment through discharge. You will educate patients and families and supervise nursing staff to maintain high standards of care.

Required are an active California RN license, BLS and NRP certifications, with NICU or acute care experience preferred. The role is full-time, day shifts, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in state of California.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
• NRP (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• One year of acute care experience; NICU preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of nursing staff.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition and adjust care as needed.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients and visitors; coordinate with chain of command.
