Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced RN to join the Acute Care Adult Telemetry Unit (9 West) on a 7p-7a shift with rotating weekends and holidays. The unit features 24 beds and advanced telemetry care with LPNs, PCNAs, and multidisciplinary partners.

Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, central line care, drains and IVs, along with strong time management and critical thinking. A sign-on bonus is available for qualifying applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry monitoring and central line dressing changes.
• Care for patients with drains, wounds, IV insertions.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking, and delegation to team members.

Shift: 7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Primary Patient Population:

• Telemetry
• Mixed Disease Process

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Cardiac monitoring, central line dressing changes

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, WOCN, Social Work, Case Management

Number of beds on unit:

• 24 beds
