Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a Registered Nurse for night shift care on 7 West. Responsibilities include delivering direct patient care using the nursing process, assessing patients, planning and coordinating discharge, and supervising care within the unit.

The role requires MA RN licensure, BLS, and a supportive team environment. A potential signing bonus may be available, with full-time hours and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required for all RNs; ACLS and unit certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge, appropriate to patient age group.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others according to job description and competency level.

Hiring Range:

$37.51 - $81.95

(based on a full time schedule of 40 hours per week).

Please note that the final offer will vary based on scheduled hours. Compensation for part-time or reduced schedules will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:

• 1. Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• 2. BLS is a requirement for every RN unless advance cardiac life support (ACLS) certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.

Preferred:

• 1. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.

• 1. Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
