Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care from admission to discharge on a 12-hour night shift. The role uses the Nursing Process and requires current MA licensure and BLS; ACLS if applicable.

This full-time position offers a non-exempt status with a night shift schedule, a pay range of $39.89 to $87.15 per hour, prorated for part-time if needed, and potential signing bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current, in addition to unit certifications.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing highly preferred.

• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.

(based on a full time schedule of 40 hours per week).

Please note that the final offer will vary based on scheduled hours. Compensation for part-time or reduced schedules will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless advance cardiac life support (ACLS) certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.

Experience/Skills:

Required:

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.

Work is considered medium. Position requires work indoors in a patient care environment.
