UMass Memorial Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care in the 3 West unit. You will follow the nursing process from admission through discharge, perform assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate discharge planning to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Required qualifications include active Massachusetts nursing licensure and BLS; ACLS as applicable. BSN is preferred, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork within a large health system

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification current or must be maintained as applicable.

Responsible for the planning, delivery and management of direct patient care utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice.

Major Responsibilities

1. 1. Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient's care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
2. 2. Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
3. 3. Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
4. 4. Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
5. 5. Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.

Position Qualifications

License/Certification/Education

Required

1. 1. Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
2. 2. BLS is a requirement for every RN unless advance cardiac life support (ACLS) certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies.

Preferred

1. 1. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.
