Position: Registered Nurse - 4 Day Work Week

Schedule: Full-time (2 days 7am-7pm and 2 days 7am-3pm) with rotating days off

Facility: Pinckneyville Correctional Center

Location: Pinckneyville, IL

Pay Rate:

Base rates of $45 per hour for RNs + up to $4 per hour in shift differentials!

Position Summary:

Under supervision of the Wexford Health manager and clinical oversight from the Director of Nursing, Registered Nurses, Medical Director, and/or IDOC personnel, the RN is responsible for assisting in delivering patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN guides patient teaching activities based on education and competencies, utilizing electronic medical records as applicable.

• Performs non-professional nursing care duties under supervision, assessing physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients.
• Assists in planning and implementing individual treatment programs.
• Assesses personal and learning development needs and plans accordingly.
• Follows nursing policies, procedures, and standards, supporting the philosophy and objectives of the nursing department.

Job Requirements:

• Licensure: Current, valid, unrestricted Illinois State Licensed Practical Nurse License
• Certification: Current Hands-On CPR certification prior to start date
• Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Preferred Experience: Minimum one year of clinical experience; correctional nursing experience is a plus
