Job summary

MetroHealth is hiring for the 3 East Medicine Team. This RN role supports inpatient medicine with a focus on clinical assessment, medication management, and patient monitoring. Expect bi-weekly hours of 72 across 7a-7p and 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays.

A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is available for qualifying experience. Work alongside LPNs, PCNAs, providers and rehab staff in a 26-bed medicine unit with strong interprofessional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• BLS or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient medicine care on the 3 East unit.
• Perform clinical assessments and manage medications.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, providers, and PT/OT.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes.
• Support time management and care coordination.

Primary Patient Population:

• Inpatient Medicine

Primary skills utilized/learned:

RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT

Number of beds on unit:

• 26 (Unit shares space with the oncology team)
• 14 Medicine Beds
• 12 Oncology Beds

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
