Job summary

Great River Health is seeking an experienced inpatient nursing role to aid in day-to-day operations of the unit. You will collaborate with managers to coach staff, assign work, and reinforce department goals while maintaining patient-focused care.

The position requires an RN license in Iowa, an Associate Degree in Nursing, and current BLS/ACLS; prefer Bachelor's in Nursing and preceptor experience. Inpatient setting, on-site, with generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold Associate Degree in Nursing and RN license in Iowa.
• BLS/ACLS/Basic Dysrhythmia Certification required.
• Experience as preceptor/mentor for nursing staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support inpatient nursing unit operations, including assigning work and real time coaching.
• Collaborate with managers/directors to ensure patient care needs are met and department goals are achieved.

Minimum Hiring Wage:

From $35.79 per hour

Job Details:

$15,000 Sign On Bonus for Qualified Candidates
Scheduled Hours: 7:00am - 7:30pm, every other weekend

Job Description:

To aid and assist in the development, implementation, utilization and maintenance of the day-to-day operations of the Inpatient Nursing unit. Works closely with departmental managers and directors in the assistance of staff and patient needs while performing as an integral role in department operations, including but not limited to—assigning work, real time coaching and rewarding.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Registered Nursing licensed in the State of Iowa
• Maintains current and active status on all required trainings and education as outlines by corporate policy
• BLS/ACLS/Basic Dysrhythmia Certified
• Required experience as preceptor and mentor for nursing staff.

Preferred:

• Prefer 2-5 years of experience in area of Acute Medical Care.
• Prefer 2-5 years of experience in providing adult education.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Board Certified in nursing education, professional nursing development, or acute care preferred.
