Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the 2 South ICU on a 12-hour day shift. The unit provides care to patients with complex medical needs using advanced critical care modalities and teamwork with intensivists, RNs and health unit coordinators.
Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, patient and family education, care coordination, and continuous improvement in alignment with mission.

Staff receive support from advanced practice nurses.
Using the Quality Caring Model, demonstrates acceptable performance and applies the nursing process to plan and manage the care of routine patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates fundamental patient/family information to health care team. Identifies and communicates variances from patient goals. Responsible for providing and coordinating interdisciplinary patient care utilizing the nursing process.

Rate: $40.09 - $57.69
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift patients/patient care equipment up to 35 pounds. Must be able to push, pull, and move patients and patient care equipment. Must be able to bend body downward at the waist and be able to kneel. Must be able to utilize a computer for periods of time throughout the shift.
Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or application of machine (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly at distances close to the eyes.
Auditory Acuity: Must have sufficient acuity to identify auditory alarms in noisy environments.
Environmental Conditions: The worker is subject to hazards associated with a hospital environment.
