Louisiana Veterans Homes in Monroe, LA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to supervise nursing services in a 156-bed, 24-hour facility. The role requires an RN license in Louisiana (or NLC/eNLC) and either 1 year of RN experience or a BSN/MSN.

You will perform med administration, IV therapy, and complex patient care under supervision. Position is WAE (PRN) with 1245 hours annual cap; compensation includes hourly premium pay and shift differentials per policy.

Formación

• Current Louisiana RN license or temporary permit or multi-state license issued by an NLC/eNLC state.
• One year of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR a bachelor's degree in nursing; OR a master's degree in nursing or public health.

Responsabilidades

• Perform professional nurse duties including administration of blood and blood components, IV medications, parenteral nutrition, central line therapy under close supervision.
• Receive physicians' instructions and ensure orders are transmitted to other units as needed.
• Make regular patient rounds to observe and assess patients' physical conditions and behaviors, evaluate care quality and document treatments.
• Administer medications, begin IV therapies, and perform medical tests as needed in absence of subordinate staff.
• Provide specialized nursing care such as ventilative care, triage or multi-system issues and admit patients after Nursing Assessment and Initial Treatment Plan.
