Prairie Lakes Healthcare System in Watertown, SD, is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse to provide general nursing care across shifts. The position is 0.9 status (36 hours per week) with 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

People with a combined 20 years of Prairie Lakes experience may be considered for a straight 12-hour day schedule with rotating holidays. Graduate of an accredited RN program with SD licensure or eligibility is required.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program. Previous experience is desirable.
• Holds or is eligible for current licensure in the State of South Dakota.

Responsabilidades

• Provides general nursing care for all patients in accordance with standards, policies, procedures, licensure, and scope of practice.
• Performs admission interviews and establishes nursing priorities in the patient’s plan of care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments and provides patient-specific care.
• Participates in patient care via an interdisciplinary team approach from admission to discharge.
• Observes patient status, documents significant conditions, and notifies supervisor/Physician of changes and reactions.
• Follows physician orders and executes the medical treatment plan; initiates patient education for patients and families.
• Completes annual competency skill testing and assists in training and supervision of nursing staff.
• Other duties may be assigned.
