Job summary

Promises/Washburn House in Worcester, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for our detoxification and residential program. The RN will provide direct patient care, supervise medical orders, and collaborate with the health team to ensure quality care.

We offer 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts with rotating weekends, full-time and part-time opportunities, and a night-shift differential. Competitive hourly pay of $45–$48 with comprehensive benefits and supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited RN program and current RN licensure.
• 3–5 years in behavioral health or residential detox recommended.
• Experience with medication administration and patient care in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medical orders and address patient medical concerns.
• Triage, administer medications and injections per physician directives.
• Monitor self-administration of medications by clients.
• Respond to medical emergencies and work with clinical team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and discharge paperwork.
• Coordinate admission and discharge processes with nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Participate in training on chemical dependency as required.

We are currently hiring for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift with rotating weekends required. Full Time and Part Time

Pay is $45 to $48/hr. plus night shift differential

JOB SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse provides professional, direct client care ina medicaldetoxification and residential program settingsin accordance withestablished program procedures. This position provides, delegates,coordinatesand evaluates patient care through the collaborative efforts of health team members andin accordance withthe nursing process and standards of care and practice.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee fulfillment of patient’s medical orders, address patient medical concerns.
• Triage medical concerns, administer medications and injections to patients as directed by directed physician.
• Monitors Client self-administration of medication.
• Serve as first line in any medicalemergency andworkswith the clinicalteam inincidences of psychiatric emergencies.
• Perform laboratory procedures from specimen collections, as authorized.
• Record patient observations and activities in patient records accurately andtimelyin accordance withnursing standards and organizational policy andprocedure.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff.
• Oversee all aspects of admission/discharge process, including:
• Pre-screenofnew patients forappropriateness foradmission.
• Obtain physical assessment data and health history.
• Inventory and caring for patients’ personal possessions.
• Complete discharge paperwork.
• Provide quality assessments to client’s medication sheets and files todetermineif clients are receivingappropriate medicationin a timely manner, including proper destruction of medication.
• Follow all policies and procedureswith regard topatient information protection, including alcohol-drug patient confidentiality and HIPAA.
• Attend training on chemical dependency asrequired.
• Maintains and adheres toestablishedinfection control/employee healthprogram.
• Maintain anddemonstratesa current working knowledge of applicable clinical procedures and nursing care based on company policy and State and Federal guidelines.
• Maintainappropriate professionalboundaries with current clients, family members,referralssources and vendors.

Education:

• High school diplomaor equivalent
• Completion ofaccreditedRN program,required.
• Associates or Bachelor’sdegree, preferred.

Certifications:

• Current, valid RN license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Experience:

• Minimum three to five (3-5) years of experience in behavioral health or residential detoxification programsettingis preferred.
