Job summary

Hale Makua Health Services in Maui, part of Ohana Pacific Health, seeks passionate Registered Nurses to join our 90-bed facility. We offer full-time roles with an $8,000 retention bonus or part-time with $4,000, relocation assistance may be provided, and a supportive team focused on the Ohana Experience.

You will conduct physical assessments, collaborate with physicians and staff, administer medications, and oversee CNAs, following established policies and standards to enhance elder care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation.
• Experience in geriatrics preferred.
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (in-house possible).
• First Aid and CPR preferred (in-house).

Responsibilities

• Conducts accurate physical assessments of residents and implements interventions.
• Collaborates with physicians and agencies to improve care quality.
• Administers and maintains resident medications/treatments as prescribed.
• Oversees care delivery by CNAs.

Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care through compassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Wailuku location is a 90-bed nursing facility.

The Position

We're looking for passionate Registered Nurses to help us with providing professional nursing care to residents following established policies and procedures of the facility.

• Conducts accurate physical assessments of residents, determines their needs and implements appropriate interventions to meet those needs.
• Collaborates with physicians, consultants, and agencies to improve quality of services and to resolve identified problems.
• Administers and maintains inventory of resident medications/treatments as ordered by the physician and according to policy and procedures.
• Oversees care delivery by CNAs

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation.
• Experience in geriatrics and current nursing standards of practice preferred.
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
• First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).
