Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized nursing care to inmate patients per nursing protocols.
• Perform assessments in intake, care units, emergencies, chronic care clinics, and medical units.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams for timely, continuous care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.

FT Day: 7 am-7:30 pmPosition SummaryRegistered Nurses (RNs) provide direct nursing care to inmate patients, applying the nursing process—assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation—in accordance with professional nursing standards. RNs collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care and desired health outcomes.Correctional nurses deliver care to promote and improve overall health, often managing a patient population that has had limited access to healthcare prior to incarceration.
