The ideal candidate holds Oregon RN licensure, has experience with older adults or home care, and is comfortable independent work and documenting clinical information. This position offers meaningful patient interaction and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Active Oregon RN license in good standing.
• Experience with older adults, home care, long‑term care, or medication management.
• Comfortable teaching, mentoring, and building relationships with clients and caregivers.
• Independent workstyle with ability to visit clients at home.
• Accurate clinical documentation and compliance with nursing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing oversight, education, and support to clients and caregiving team.
• Conduct medication reviews, including 90‑day evaluations for clients on medication administration.
• Deliver caregiver training, competencies, and ongoing education.
• Visit clients in their homes to assess nursing needs and review care plans.
• Provide clinical supervision for medication administration and nursing tasks.
• Delegate and supervise caregiver tasks per Oregon regulations.
• Coordinate with families, clients, and healthcare providers to ensure high‑quality care.
• Maintain accurate nursing records and required documentation.

Are you an experienced nurse who loves working with people but doesn't necessarily want the demands of a traditional nursing schedule?

Providential Home Care is looking for a personable, compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a flexible, part-time capacity.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a recently retired nurse who wants to keep their license active, stay engaged in the profession, and continue making meaningful connections with clients and caregivers. It's also an excellent fit for an actively practicing RN looking for rewarding supplemental work.

We're a locally owned, family-operated in-home care agency serving seniors and families throughout the Portland metro area. Our team is passionate about helping people remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

We're looking for someone who shares that enthusiasm and enjoys working directly with clients and the caregivers who support them.

What You'll Be Doing

As our part-time RN, you'll provide nursing oversight, education, and support to our clients and caregiving team. Responsibilities include:

• Medication Reviews: Conduct client medication regimen evaluations and reviews, including required 90-day evaluations for clients receiving medication administration services.
• Caregiver Medication Training: Provide medication-related education, hands‑on training, and competency evaluations to ensure caregivers understand safe medication practices.
• Client Visits & Assessments: Visit clients in their homes to assess nursing needs, review care plans, and provide guidance to clients, families, and caregivers.
• Nursing Oversight: Provide clinical support and oversight for medication administration and other authorized nursing services within our comprehensive in‑home care license.
• Nurse Delegation: Teach, delegate, supervise, and reevaluate appropriate nursing tasks performed by caregivers in accordance with Oregon nursing regulations.
• Caregiver Support & Education: Serve as a friendly, approachable clinical resource for our caregiving team, answering questions and helping them feel confident in their work.
• Care Coordination: Collaborate with our office team, clients, families, and healthcare providers to support safe, high‑quality care.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate clinical records, medication evaluations, training documentation, and other required nursing documentation.

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal nurse is someone who:

• Holds a current, active Oregon RN license in good standing.
• Has experience in nursing, preferably involving older adults, home care, long‑term care, or medication management.
• Enjoys teaching, mentoring, and building relationships with others.
• Is comfortable working independently and visiting clients in their homes.
• Communicates warmly and professionally with clients, families, and caregivers.
• Is organized, dependable, and comfortable completing clinical documentation.
• Brings a positive attitude and genuinely enjoys helping others succeed.

Experience with nurse delegation or in‑home care regulations is a plus, but we're especially interested in finding someone who is a great fit for our team.
