Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ontario assistive home care branch. This role offers flexibility to create your own schedule and opportunities to mentor and teach care teams.

You will collaborate with the team on client admissions, care plans, and supervision of LPNs, balancing office duties with in-home assessments. A current RN license is required and driving is part of the job.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active Oregon state RN license.
• Background check: Pass state and national background checks.
• Transportation: Own vehicle with valid license, auto insurance and clean driving record.
• Experience: 1 year in home care/home health OR 1 year in SNF/ICU/Med-Surg.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to admit clients needing medication administration and nursing services.
• Perform nursing assessments, monitor client progress and coordinate care.
• Delegate nursing tasks to caregivers, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Lead development and updating of individualized care plans.
• Provide supervision to LPNs and ensure high-quality care delivery.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with the team and clients.
• Review client documentation and document nursing services and interactions.
• Deliver training and education to caregivers to enhance their skills.
• Participate in company and departmental meetings to stay informed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and regulations.
• Offer support to other nurses as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Licensure: Active Oregon state RN license.
• Background Check: Ability to pass a state and national background check.
• Transportation: Personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in a home care/home health setting OR at least 1 year in an SNF, ICU, or Med-Surg.

Work Schedule

• Hours: Expected to work 10-30 hours per week based on business needs and your schedule.
• Typical Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
• Location: 60% of your time will be in an office environment; 40% will be in various client homes for assessments or observations.
