Pittsburgh Mercy in Wilkinsburg, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide medication services, assist and train adults with intellectual disabilities and serious mental illness in our residential treatment locations. This team-based role supports staff and residents daily, with a 4-day work week, Wed-Sat 11am-9pm, and a strong benefits package.

This position will work in a 56-bed Personal Care Home, located in a neighborhood setting, conveniently on a bus line, with opportunities to engage

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania RN License required.
• BSN + 1 year of related experience OR RN + 2 years of related experience.
• Valid Driver license and ability to drive an organizational vehicle.
• Act 33/34/73 clearances.
• Pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Our Registered Nurses provide medication services, assistance and training to adults with Intellectual Disabilities/Serious Mental Illness in residential treatment locations.
• Nurses help train, educate, and support residential staff working with the persons served.
• Position works in a 56-bed Personal Care Home located in Wilkinsburg, PA, on a bus line.
• Engage with residents on site and in the community, supporting wellbeing and social participation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Our Registered Nurses provide providing medication services, assistance and training to adults with Intellectual Disabilities/Serious Mental Illness in our residential treatment locations. The nurses also help train, educate, and support the residential staff that works directly with the persons served.

• We’re looking for people who have experience developing and mentoring a team, and who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities.

• This position will work in a 56 bed Personal Care Home located in a neighborhood setting in Wilkinsburg, PA., conveniently located on a bus line.

• While required daily tasks to ensure the health and well-being of the residents and site are of utmost importance, this position offers many opportunities to engage with the residents both on site and out in the community.

• Along with daily interactions and conversations, staff are highly encouraged to help support the residents’ well-being through socialization, developing and encouraging participation of both and on and off-site activities, shopping, trips, and other activities that support their social and personal well-being.
