Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care and conduct daily mental status assessments.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for Personal Recovery Plans.
  • Maintain oversight of medication administration and assist residents with appointments.
  • Provide education on medication management and health.

Skills

Current Pennsylvania RN (or LPN) license

Pay Rate: $44.98 per hour

RHD is excited to launch a new program and is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of building something new while making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals working toward recovery. What You’ll Do
  • Provide Direct Nursing Care:
    • Conduct daily mental status assessments for 6–12 residents.
    • Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
    • Complete narcotic counts at the beginning and end of shift.
    • Monitor for early signs of psychiatric relapse, medication side effects, or medical concerns.
    • Lead response efforts during psychiatric or medical emergencies.
  • Support Recovery & Clinical Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement Personal Recovery Plans.
    • Coordinate care with Psychiatrists, Primary Care Physicians, and specialists.
    • Engage regularly with residents to monitor changes and support treatment goals.
  • Medication & Health Management:
    • Maintain oversight of medication administration and ensure prescriptions are current.
    • Complete assessments and physicals within regulatory timeframes.
    • Assist residents with scheduling medical appointments and following up on recommendations.
  • Educate & Empower:
    • Provide education on medication management and overall health and wellness.
    • Participate in and/or facilitate educational groups.
    • Contribute to a positive, recovery-oriented program environment.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Current Pennsylvania RN (or LPN) license.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Act 33/34 clearances.
  • FBI clearance (as required).
  • Completion of required physical, TB test, and Hepatitis B titer.
  • All trainings required by licensure.
Preferred
  • Experience in Behavioral Health and/or Criminal Justice settings.
