Job description

290 Alexandersville Rd, Miamisburg, Ohio, 45342, United States of America

We are seeking a self-motivated, organized individual passionate about patient care, eager to independently manage cases with confidence and accountability. As a Peritoneal Dialysis Registered Nurse (PD RN), you will educate patients and care partners on peritoneal dialysis in a clinical setting, enabling them to dialyze at home.

You will be responsible for the ongoing care of each patient to ensure their treatment remains on track.

Dialysis experience is NOT required. Nephrology nursing offers a fresh perspective and new skills for newcomers to the field.

What you can expect:

  1. Provide comprehensive patient care independently, applying core nursing skills to assess, diagnose, and implement care plans, while managing your patient cases and witnessing the impact of your care.
  2. Empower patients by teaching them to administer their own dialysis and take control of their health. Training takes time and effort, but the rewards include transforming patients from feeling sick and scared to strong, independent, and active in their daily lives.
  3. Lead, coach, and guide patients and support systems using your nursing skills. Build deep relationships with patients, support systems, and care partners while working independently.

Schedule:

  1. Typically, an 8-hour day, Monday through Friday, with weekends and holidays off.
  2. Flexible scheduling as you manage your cases and own your schedule.
  3. Home visits and on-call shifts vary by program and are compensated accordingly.

What we’ll provide:

  1. Clear career growth opportunities for a lifelong nursing career.
  2. Paid 9-12 week training for those new to dialysis, with support to become a nephrology nurse.
  3. Annual $3,000 tuition reimbursement, potential $25,000 scholarship, certification reimbursements, and free CEU courses.
  4. Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, family resources, pet insurance, mental health resources, and more.
  5. A compassionate culture dedicated to helping patients, teammates, and families live their best lives.

Requirements:

  1. Current RN license in the state of practice.
  2. Minimum 12 months of RN experience.
  3. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance.
  4. Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) from an accredited school; B.S.N. or diploma may substitute.
  5. Basic computer skills, proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Experience in chronic or acute dialysis, home dialysis, or peritoneal dialysis.
  2. Training, teaching, or healthcare education background.
  3. Case management experience.
  4. Interest in telehealth technologies.
  5. Certifications: CNN, CDN, or CPDN.
