Job summary

Sacbar in Malibu, CA seeks a Registered Nurse to coordinate and implement back-office clinical duties, reporting to Medical Director, and ensure compliance with CA state and federal mandates.

You will support practitioners, perform phlebotomy, immunizations, injections, and EHR charting while maintaining patient-centered care and HIPAA confidentiality. Must uphold Christian mission.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2 years of related experience.
• Valid, unrestricted California Board of Registered Nursing license.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
• Phlebotomy, immunizations, injections, ear lavage, bandaging, splinting are performed as part of duties.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication; ability to translate medical terms for patients.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be highly organized, and maintain professionalism.
• Demonstrated confidentiality per HIPAA and cultural competency.
• Must have personal faith in Jesus Christ and support the Christian mission.

Job description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a skilled healthcare professional who coordinates and implements a variety of medical back-office duties and procedures. Reporting directly to the Medical Director, the RN serves as the first line of support for practitioner staff and is responsible for the professional and efficient daily operation of the medical clinic’s back office. The RN ensures that county, state, and federal medical office mandates are implemented in collaboration with providers and staff, delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care while actively supporting the University’s Christian mission.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an academic degree in nursing (Bachelor's or Master's degree) and 2 years of related experience.
• Valid, unrestricted California Board of Registered Nursing license.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
• Nursing duties to include procedures such as phlebotomy, immunizations, injections, ear lavage, bandaging, splinting, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical medical information into understandable formats for patient care.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to maintain professionalism amidst competing demands.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise cultural competency, good judgment, and strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
• Strong sense of personal accountability; high reliability and commitment to consistent attendance and teamwork to meet daily clinical goals.
