Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) seeks a motivated Registered Nurse to join our ambulatory surgery team in Northeast region. The RN will lead perioperative care for Gastroenterology procedures in a 1-OR, 3-procedure room facility.

Weekdays only; some early mornings or later evenings may be required. Responsibilities include planning and directing nursing care across preop, intraop, and postop phases, reporting patient status, and ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted RN license in the state
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• 1–3 years minimum nursing experience
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred
• Current BLS, ALS and PALS certifications

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties per the state Nursing Practice Act and facility policies.
• Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care ensuring continuity of care.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes to maintain comfort and safety.
• Assist physicians and healthcare professionals and report patient status during procedures.
• Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families.
• Pursue ongoing education to broaden knowledge across ages and conditions.
• Collaborate with Infection Control to prevent infections.
• Support quality and safety improvement initiatives.
• Perform compliance and safety officer tasks.
• May perform other tasks as assigned.

USPI GCSA Ambulatory Surgery Center - Northeast, is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join our team. We have 1 OR room and 3 Procedure rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, executing, directing and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care given to patient. The nursing care ranges from preoperative intervention, intraoperative and postoperative evaluation while meeting the patient’s needs and ensuring continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform all nursing duties in accordance with the state Nursing Practice Act, while adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
• Actively demonstrate a working knowledge of nursing theory, techniques, principles, and practice in order to care for the patient.
• Perform routine nursing care while utilizing age specific and universal precaution practices at all times Monitor patient progress and identifies any changes in status, acting on those changes to insure patient comfort and safety.
• Assist physicians and all healthcare professionals caring for patient, always giving a complete and thorough report on patient status throughout procedure process.
• Communicate with all staff, patients, and families with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Consistently seek educational tools in order to broaden knowledge base of various age groups, diseases, and best practices.
• Collaborates with the Infection Control Committee in preventing and identifying potential for infections.
• Supports and demonstrates continuous improvement of quality and service excellence.
• Compliance and safety officer tasks
• May perform other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience
Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS

Required Experience
