Job summary

Open Sky Community Services in Massachusetts is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide clinically based, recovery‑oriented care in residential and community settings rather than a traditional office or hospital. You will collaborate with an integrated team to assess health needs, monitor medical and psychiatric status, and support individuals toward independent living.

This role emphasizes education, wellness, and preventive care, with oversight of the Medication Administration Program.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license required.
• Excellent assessment, documentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history required.
• Experience with adults with mental health and psychiatric disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and consultation to programs regarding medical issues, procedures and techniques, and health and wellness practices.
• Assess and provide individualized education related to health and disease processes; reinforce wellness and preventative health measures.
• Review clinical records on a regular basis to ensure adequate services and supports are provided, including any applicable medical interventions, tests, or preventative care as necessary.
• Provide oversight to the Medication Administration Program and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

We provide opportunities for nurses that are beyond the four walls of an institutional setting, as you work within residential and community settings, focusing on recovery-based care for people diagnosed mental illness or dual diagnosis.Adult Community Clinical Services is a Department of Mental Health funded service that is designed to deliver evidence-based interventions within a clinically focused model. Individuals served are diagnosed with mental illness or dual diagnosis and reside in their own homes, apartments, or in group living environments. Our services focus on helping people transition to a more independent environment while maximizing their natural supports by building skills and achieving personal goals. The teams are tight knit, supportive and multidisciplinary.
