Registered Nurse (RN) – Adolescent Behavioral Health (PRTF) | 2nd Shift
Location: Columbus, OH (In-Person) Pay: $34.00 – $48.00 per hour Schedule: Second Shift (Afternoons/Evenings)

In this role, you’ll work in a Male Adolescent Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) supporting youth ages 11–17 with complex behavioral health needs. What You’ll Do
Clinical & Nursing Care
- Perform health assessments (vitals, injuries, behavioral and psychiatric symptoms)
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor for medication effectiveness and side effects
- Document thoroughly in EMR (MARs, nursing notes, PRNs, incidents, etc.)l>
- Coordinate care with providers, pharmacies, and outside medical services
Behavioral Health & Therapeutic Support
- Help maintain a structured, trauma-informed environment
- Provide education on wellness, medication, hygiene, and coping skills
- Support individualized treatment plans with the clinical team
Crisis Response & Safety
- Respond to behavioral and medical emergencies
- Use de-escalation techniques and clinical judgment under pressure
- Monitor for safety risks (self-harm, aggression, environmental concerns)
- Ensure proper protocols and safety procedures are followed
Team Collaboration
- Participate in treatment planning, team meetings, and discharge planning
- Support and guide direct care staff on medical-related matters
- Communicate effectively across shifts and departments
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain compliance with state regulations, Medicaid standards, and agency policies
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical nursing standards
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Ability to pass background checks and required screenings
- CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Preferred Experience
- Adolescent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
- Residential treatment or crisis stabilization
- Trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques
- Working with high-acuity youth populations
