Job summary

DTAC (Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an adolescent behavioral health program in Columbus, OH. This in-person role supports youth ages 11–17 in a residential facility, with trauma-informed, therapeutic care in a collaborative team setting.

You will perform health assessments, administer medications, and document thoroughly in EMR while coordinating with providers and families. CPR/First Aid certification and an Ohio RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio.
• Ability to pass background checks and required screenings.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain on hire).
• Experience in adolescent behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform health assessments including vitals, injuries, and behavioral/psychiatric symptoms.
• Administer medications and monitor effectiveness and side effects.
• Document thoroughly in EMR (nursing notes, MARs, PRNs).
• Coordinate care with providers, pharmacies and outside medical services.
• Provide trauma-informed, therapeutic support within a structured environment.
• Respond to medical and behavioral emergencies and de-escalate when needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on treatment planning and discharge planning.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations and agency policies.
