Job summary

Ashberry Healthcare Limited is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care at our care home. You will conduct assessments, care planning, medication management, and support care staff in line with regulatory standards.

The role requires current NMC Pin, strong clinical knowledge, and a patient-focused approach. Evening shifts, with 24-36 hours per week, are available in a home setting with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents’ needs and develop, review, and evaluate personalised care plans.
  • Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care, promoting dignity and resident choice.
  • Administer medications and treatments in line with NMC and MAR chart protocols.
  • Monitor residents’ health and respond promptly to changes in condition.
  • Provide skilled nursing care including wound care, PEG feeds, catheter care, falls management, and end-of-life care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and complete risk assessments.
  • Lead, supervise, and support Care Assistants, Senior Carers, and CHAPs.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, ANPs, therapists, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, infection control, health & safety, and CQC/CIW standards.
  • Participate in audits, training, and continuous improvement activities.

Location

Allt Y Mynydd Nursing Home sits in 17 acres of private grounds in Brechfa Forest, with stunning views across the Duar Valley from almost every bedroom and communal area. The house is home to no more than 44 elderly men and women requiring nursing, residential and dementia care. Our home focuses on delivering exceptional standards of personalised care and ensuring residents and their families feel supported and respected.

The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care within our care home. You will be responsible for clinical assessments, care planning, medication management, and supporting care staff, ensuring care is delivered in line with NMC standards, CQC/CIW regulations, and organisational policies.

About You

  • Experience in a care home or elderly care setting desirable but not essential.
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD and willingness to undertake further training.

Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
