Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Michigan. This full-time days position partners with the Director of Nursing to oversee and coordinate medical care for individuals in residential services, with travel to Lansing-area homes required.

The RN will perform skilled nursing duties, coordinate care with various providers, educate staff, and contribute to regulatory compliance. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for RN, with $2,500 for LPN.

Qualifications

• Active RN license is required.
• Two years nursing experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel throughout the Lansing region.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care, medication administration, vaccinations, and physician-ordered treatments.
• Complete nursing assessments and monitor ongoing health needs.
• Coordinate medical, psychiatric, dental, vision, and specialty care appointments.
• Monitor infections and provide follow-up care.
• Educate Direct Support Professionals on medical equipment and health monitoring.
• Perform diabetic foot assessments, first aid, and health screenings.
• Audit medication rooms, eMAR, and electronic health records for compliance.
• Assist with care planning, policy development, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide medical triage and participate in nursing on-call rotation.
• Support regulatory compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.

Position Summary
