Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to coordinate and oversee medical care for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, severe mental illness, and complex medical needs.

The role involves administering medications, conducting assessments, and educating Direct Support Professionals on medical care and equipment, while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, compliant care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license; 2+ years nursing experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee medical care for individuals with diverse healthcare needs.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as ordered.
• Complete assessments and monitor health concerns.
• Educate DSPs on medical care and equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Support quality improvement, infection prevention, and medical training initiatives.
