Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living Services is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to partner with the Director of Nursing across residential locations in and around Niles, Michigan. The role combines direct patient care with clinical oversight, staff education, and care coordination with healthcare providers.

You will travel to residential homes to assess needs, support DSPs, monitor health concerns, and ensure care aligns with physician orders and regulations.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license.
• Two years nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health or residential care a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admissions assessments and follow state regulations.
• Provide nursing care, med administration, and vaccinations as ordered.
• Coordinate medical, psychiatric, dental, and vision appointments with the DON.
• Educate DSPs and staff on medical procedures and equipment.
• Audit medication rooms and EHRs for compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
