Job summary

Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee total nursing care for residents and supervise clinical staff. The role involves coordinating care, implementing physician orders, and leading nursing teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The RN will supervise LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs, administer medications, start IVs, and participate in ongoing staff development. Strong communication and emergency response skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Valid RN license in the state employed.
  • CPR certification.
  • One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses and documents residents' condition and nursing needs.
  • Implements physician orders accurately and promptly.
  • Assigns nursing care to team members according to resident needs.
  • Supervises and evaluates LPNs, LVNs, CNAs; administers medications and starts IVs.
  • Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
  • Assists physicians with tests and procedures within the scope of Nursing Practice Act.
  • Maintains supplies and equipment and ensures safety and cleanliness.

About the Role

The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides total nursing care for residents and provides supervision and guidance to clinical staff.
