Job summary

Embark Behavioral Health in Independence, MO is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to support teens ages 12-17 with medication administration, vital signs, and health monitoring during overnight shifts. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess student health status and respond when not feeling well.
• Monitor vitals, administer medications, and track health progress.
• Collaborate with families and care team; share medical updates and advocate for student needs.
• Track and document medications, including narcotics, each shift for safety and accuracy.
• Provide weekend floor coverage and participate in training for de-escalation and safety procedures.
• Observe and document mood, behavior, and overall health to support healing.

Hourly Pay Rate: $40.00 - $44.00

Schedule: Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (Overnights)

Every day, as a RN at Embark Behavioral Health, you'll be a trusted source of care and support for teens (ages 12-17)—assessing their needs, administering medications, and ensuring they feel safe and heard. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, communicate with families, and advocate for students in their healing journey. Responsibilities

• Be a trusted caregiver by assessing and responding when a student isn’t feeling well.
• Support student well-being by monitoring vitals, administering medications, and tracking health progress.
• Collaborate with families and the care team by sharing important medical updates and advocating for student needs.
• Ensure safety and accuracy by tracking and documenting medications, including narcotics, every shift.
• Provide additional floor coverage on weekends to support staff and students and receive training in safe verbal de-escalation and physical intervention techniques to support upset teens as they arise.
• Play a key role in the healing journey by observing and documenting mood, behavior, and overall health.

Qualifications

Required Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• CPR Certification
• Must be prepared to establish a CAQH profile and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) as part of the onboarding process.

Required Skills

• Experience in medication administration and patient care
• Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing techniques, and legal charting
• Ability to assess vital signs and communicate medical information effectively

Preferred Experience

• Bedside hospital experience
• Experience in diabetic care
• Experience in Psychiatric Nursing
