Job summary

Georgia Department of Public Health seeks an RN for the Home Visiting Program in Lowndes County. The nurse will provide professional care under protocol, visiting prenatal and postpartum patients and infants up to one year old in the South Health District.

Requirements include an Associate degree in nursing, completion of a PHN course within one year of hire, an active Georgia RN license and CPR certification.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in nursing completed at an accredited college/university.
  • Completion of a Public Health Nursing (PHN) course within one year of hire.
  • Current Georgia RN license and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and procedures.
  • Serve patients in the South Health District within the DPH Home Visiting Program.
  • Conduct patient home visits for prenatal and postpartum women and infants up to age one per program manual.

Job Responsibilities
  • Under supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures.
  • This RN will serve patients in South Health District in the DPH Home Visiting Program.
  • Patient Home Visits will be conducted with prenatal and postpartum women and infants up to age one per the DPH Home Visiting Program manual.
Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and completion of a PHN course within one (1) year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification.
