The Northeast Health District is seeking an experienced and compassionate Public Health Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing operations at the Walton County Health Department (Loganville). This position provides clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality public health services that promote disease prevention, health education, and improved community health outcomes.
The Public Health Registered Nurse Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating nursing activities across multiple public health programs, including Immunizations, WIC, Family Planning, Women\'s Health, Diabetes, Hypertension, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD), Tuberculosis (TB), and other preventive health services. This position ensures compliance with Georgia Department of Public Health policies, nurse protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong clinical expertise, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to mentor and develop staff while fostering a positive, patient-centered work environment. The successful candidate will also be proficient in using electronic health records and other healthcare technologies to support quality patient care and operational efficiency. This position may provide nursing coverage at the Walton Health Department location in Monroe as needed.
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of nursing experience, and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level PH Registered Nurse 2 (HCP191) or position equivalent.
