Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a qualified registered nurse to support vascular care in Michigan. The role involves pre-operative preparation, intraoperative circulating duties, and post-operative monitoring with strict adherence to MVC policies.

Ideal candidates hold a Michigan nursing license, BLS/ACLS certification, and have the ability to respond to emergencies, manage medications, and perform wound care and suture removals in accordance with AORN standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with active state license (Michigan).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Ability to monitor vital signs and manage post-operative care.
• Experience with circulating during procedures and medication handling per policy.

Responsibilities

Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess and provide appropriate nursing care to patients seeking medical care for their vascular disease in accordance with the Michigan Nurse Practice Act.Essential Functions:Follows Michigan Vascular Center’s policies and procedures, including HR and accreditationDemonstrates primary focus of customer service for internal and external customers.Maintains a professional appearance; takes pride and ownership of work, and works in cooperative and respectful manner with others.Job Specific Functions:Pre-operative patient preparation, and post-operative monitoringCirculating during procedures, including medication management, monitoring vital signs, patient tolerance, supply procurementPerformance of PermaCath aspiration declots and removalsScrubs, gowns, and gloves in accordance with AORN standards.Wound care and staple/suture removalsFollows medication administration and prescription handling according to the policies of MVC and legal regulations.Within their scope of practice, responds to emergency situations in the office and provides care, until emergency response team assumes care, or situation is resolved. Completes incident reports as necessary.BLS and ACLS certificationGraduate of accredited school of nursingLicensed by State of Michigan, in good standingPossess the Physical ability and perceptive acuity (vision and hearing) to perform all direct and indirect care functions in and out of procedure rooms.
