Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services is seeking Registered Nurses for travel staffing across underserved communities. You will deliver patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with physicians to shape care plans.

Contracts run for 14 weeks with extensions possible. Weekly pay, stipends, and benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off are offered. You must be flexible to travel and meet licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• RN license valid and unencumbered in practicing state or multi-state licensure.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience with at least 6 months travel nursing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; accredited program required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Provide care across prevention, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Coordinate patient assessments, education, triage, and nursing interventions within scope of practice.
• Practice within state licensure standards and ethical codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process-assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver individualized patient care.

• Provide care across all phases of prevention, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Coordinate patient assessments, education, triage, and various nursing interventions within the scope of practice.
• Practice within state licensure standards, adhering to professional ethical codes and standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Valid, unencumbered RN license in the practicing state or multistate licensure if applicable.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience, including at least six months of travel experience.
• Ability to live at least 60 miles from the work location.
• Maintain required competencies and certifications.

Additional Details

• Work 12-hour night shifts, with weekly hours of 36.
• Contracts last 14 weeks, with options to extend or transfer to other sites.
• Eligible for weekly pay, including stipends, and benefits such as health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
