Bayview Healthcare in Leesburg, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Wound Care to provide nursing care to residents per physician orders and standards of practice. You will work under the Director of Nursing and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse current state license in Florida.
• One year related nursing experience preferred.
• Current/active CPR certification.
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practice and regulations.
• Obtain changes in physician's orders as indicated by residents' progress.
• Communicate resident condition to charge nurses and Director of Nursing.
• Maintain clean, orderly treatment cart and restock supplies.
• Follow Infection Control policies and procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Document pressure sore status weekly or as condition changes.
• Monitor inventory of medications and supplies for skin care products.
• Educate residents and families about skin care at discharge.
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities and other duties as assigned.

• Summary of the RN Wound Nurse (Registered Nurse):

  Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practice and regulations, and as directed by the Director of Nursing.

  Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the RN Wound Nurse (Registered Nurse):

  Obtain changes in physician's orders as indicated by residents' progress or lack of progress

  Communicate pertinent information about resident condition and progress to charge nurses, supervisors and Director of Nursing, as indicated.

• Maintain clean, orderly treatment cart and restock treatment supplies.

• Follow Infection Control policies and procedures.

• Administer medications and treatments accurately as ordered by the physician and according to all facility policies and procedures

• Document pressure sore status weekly or more often as condition changes.

• Assist in monitoring the inventory of medications, medical supplies and equipment to be sure adequate supplies of skin care products are on hand to meet the needs of residents.

• Participate in educational programs for residents and their family members relative to skin care when a resident is being discharged to home.

• Participate in Quality Improvement activities, as assigned.

• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

• Job Requirements of RN Wound Nurse (Registered Nurse):

  Registered Nurse current state license in Florida

  One (1) year related nursing experience preferred
