Job summary

ALG Senior is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to lead and oversee resident clinical care in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. You will support care staff and ensure a safe, thriving environment for residents.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, with 3–5 years of nursing experience and leadership or supervisory exposure, preferably in senior living or healthcare settings. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
  • 3–5 years nursing experience, with leadership or supervisory exposure.
  • Experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare settings preferred.
  • Experience caring for seniors and cognitive decline is preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
  • Knowledge of medication administration systems and clinical best practices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet background/health screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee resident clinical care, including medication delivery, to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Complete care planning and assessments, monitoring changes and coordinating follow-ups.
  • Oversee medication systems, train Medication Aides, and ensure MAR accuracy.
  • Lead, train, and supervise care staff to ensure compassionate resident support.
  • Serve as liaison with families, physicians, and healthcare providers.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing, OSHA, infection control, and rights regulations.
  • Participate in quality assurance, audit records, and incident reviews.
  • Assist with staffing schedules and maintain appropriate levels.
  • Coordinate ordering and inventory of nursing and care supplies.
  • Support emergency procedures and resident safety planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Resident Clinical Care Oversight: Supervise and coordinate personal care, clinical services, and medication delivery to ensure quality care and compliance with state regulations and company standards.
  • Care Planning & Assessments: Complete resident assessments, develop individualized care plans, monitor changes in condition, and coordinate follow-up interventions as needed.
  • Medication Management: Oversee medication systems, ensure Medication Aides are properly trained, verify Medication Administration Records (MARs), and maintain safe medication storage and disposal procedures.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead, train, coach, and supervise care staff to ensure excellent performance, accountability, and compassionate resident support.
  • Family & Physician Communication: Serve as a liaison between residents, families, physicians, and healthcare providers regarding resident care needs and changes in condition.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, OSHA standards, infection control procedures, and resident rights regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audit resident records, review incident reports, and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Scheduling & Staffing Support: Assist with staffing schedules, hiring qualified team members, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
  • Supplies & Inventory: Coordinate ordering and inventory of nursing, infection control, and resident care supplies.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Support emergency procedures, disaster preparedness, resident safety protocols, and response planning.
Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
  • Minimum 3-5 years of nursing experience preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare preferred
  • Experience caring for seniors and individuals with cognitive decline preferred
