Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) to promote and restore residents’ health within Charlestown, Catonsville. You will collaborate with providers, the interdisciplinary team, and care associates to support physical and psychosocial well-being of residents in skilled nursing and long-term care floors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as an RN.
• Experience caring for seniors or those with cognitive impairment preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and web applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with residents and families, supporting physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs.
• Perform clinical duties per state nurse practice act and standards.
• Promote independence by setting care goals and educating residents and families.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes to ensure comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with care associates to deliver routine nursing care.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and administer medications as ordered.
• Create and coordinate holistic care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Support resident preferences in the electronic medical record.
• Ensure documentation is current and timely.
• Participate in care conferences as requested by Clinical Manager.

Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN). The RN promotes, restores, and maintains resident’s health and wellbeing by collaborating with providers, the interdisciplinary team, and care associates. The RN’s primary role is to provide physical and psych-social support to residents and families within the skilled nursing and long term care floors.

Compensation

Rates range from $34.00 up to $50.00 per hour, based upon years of licensure and experience. Potential for $2.00 per hour shift differential for evening and night shifts.

PRN Compensation

$46.45 per hour. Potential for $2.00 per hour shift differential for evening and night shifts.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Developing relationships with the residents and their families using a consistent caregiver approach, supporting the resident’s physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs, and focusing on placing the resident first.
• Performing all clinical duties in accordance with the state nurse practice act and nursing standards of practice
• Promoting resident’s independence by establishing resident care goals, teaching resident/family members to understand a resident’s condition, medication, and self-care skills
• Monitoring a resident clinical and care conditions to identify any changes in status and acting on those changes to ensure patient comfort and safety
• Working alongside the care associates to perform routine nursing care to assigned residents as needed
• Maintaining infection prevention practices, administering medications, and performing treatments per orders.
• Developing and coordinating a comprehensive Holistic plan of care to meet the resident’s clinical and care needs in collaboration with the interdisciplinary and neighborhood team
• Supporting resident’s preferences, routines, and choices in resident’s electronic medical record
• Ensuring that documentation is current, accurate, and timely.
• Participating in care conferences for designated residents as requested by Clinical Manager

What You Will Need

• Must have a minimum of 6 months experience as an RN
• Experience in caring for seniors or senior with cognitive impairment preferred
• Basic computer skills required including experience with Microsoft Office, internet and web applications
• Experience with an electronic medical record is preferred
• Must have an active RN license in the state in which they will practice
• CPR certification required.
