Job summary

SOUTHWEST HEALTHCARE SERVICES/LTC AND BASIC CARE in Bowman, ND seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for a full-time, on-site position. Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Dakota (or eligibility).

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work in a fast-paced care environment.
• Commitment to maintaining patient safety, infection control standards, and regulatory compliance.
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS/geriatric care certifications are a plus.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including lifting and assisting patients.

Role Description

The Registered Nurse is a full-time, on-site role located in Bowman, ND. This role provides direct patient care, including assessment, care planning, administering medications and treatments, and monitoring patient responses in long-term and basic care settings. The nurse coordinates with physicians, other nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, effective, and person-centered care. Daily responsibilities include documenting care accurately, overseeing nursing assistants, educating patients and families about health conditions and care plans, and adhering to all clinical protocols and regulatory requirements. The role also involves participating in quality improvement activities, maintaining infection control practices, and supporting a respectful, inclusive environment for patients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Dakota (or eligibility for licensure).


• Previous experience in long-term care, basic care, or similar clinical settings is preferred.


• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills.


• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.


• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work in a fast-paced care environment.

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
