Job summary

Alsana in Birmingham, AL is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct nursing care in our Residential and PHP programs on a 3x12-hour shift schedule (7:00 AM–7:00 PM). You will collaborate with physicians, therapists, dietitians, and the clinical team to support individualized care, administer and document medications, and perform nursing assessments.

This role requires an active Alabama RN license, a diploma/ADN/BSN, phlebotomy skills, BLS/CPR, and strong communication, organization, and EMR

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to clients in our Residential and PHP programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, dietitians, and the clinical team to support individualized care.
• Administer, monitor, and document medications in accordance with Alsana policies.
• Complete nursing assessments, obtain vital signs, perform phlebotomy, and provide basic medical care.
• Support client admissions, medication reconciliation, and discharge planning.
• Assist with physician visits and ensure accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Participate in meal support and nutrition-related activities as needed.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and documentation requirements.
